With performers Susann Suprenant, Thom Sibbitt & Abby Queal ætherplough invites World Environment ARTS Week participants to witness human:nature, a Butoh-inspired movement ritual which explores the struggle between consuming and being consumed.
human:nature is a work in development which will continue throughout Spring/Summer 2010 culminating in ætherplough's next original ensemble production .
human:nature is a retelling of Grimm's fairytale, The White Snake, employing elements of Butoh, rasaboxes and inspired by texts by Anne Sexton, Arnold Mindell, and Rachel Carson.
Collaborating partners for human:nature are resident choreographer Wai Yim, artist Miss Cake, and spoken word poet Katie F-S.
