The Archeology of Birdsong follows the relationships of three interconnected people struggling to reclaim meaning in their lives.

Framed by a birdwoman-storyteller and told through collected bird stories in seven episodes, The Archeology of Birdsong is accompanied by live instrumental and vocal music inspired by the songs of birds.

Written and directed by Susann Suprenant, The Archeology of Birdsong features Kirstin Kluver, Thom Sibbitt, and Wai Yim accompanied by cellist April Faith-Slaker. Interwoven throughout the performance is live music composed and directed by April Faith-Slaker, as well as Chelsea Balzer, Matt Walker, and Kaitlin Thomas and Scott Zimmerman. A women’s vocal ensemble adds birdsong-based chorales, composed by Susann Suprenant and assisted by Amanda DeBoer.
